Throughout, the interior finish and materials are of a Lexus standard. Perhaps the finest feature is the dashboard, a gathering of gentle curves worthy of Douglas Cardinal. Buttons are laid out cleanly, and rounded covers slide out to conceal switches for the audio system and the joystick controller for the optional navigation unit. The navigation screen is recessed deep in the dash, easily visible to the driver but not dominating the panel.
Safety features that come standard include driver and front-passenger airbags, seat-mounted side-impact airbags for torso protection, side curtain airbags for head protection, and a driver’s knee airbag. Anti-lock brakes (ABS) are standard and include Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist.
